Summer Program Guidelines

Attendance

A MINIMUM OF 45 HOURS IS THE REQUIREMENT FOR COURSE CREDIT.

Discipline

Good behavior is MANDATORY to remain in the summer program.  Any student who is disruptive in class, disrespectful toward another student, or to any adult associated with the summer program will be excluded from the program.  ALL rules as outlined in the WHS Student/Parent Handbook are in effect during the summer program.

Course Requirements

There is a prescribed program which has been developed and approved for each remedial course offered through the summer program.  A syllabus which includes all course requirements and deadlines for all assignments will be distributed on the first day of class.  The deadlines MUST BE MET for successful completion of each course.  Successful completion will require a minimum grade of 70 and on time completion of ALL assigned work.

Progress Reports

Progress Reports for each student in each course will be available weekly through Google Classroom.  Progress reports will indicate student absences and whether the student is keeping up with the class work and assignments.

Completion of Program

At the completion of the Summer School Program, a certificate of completion, which will include the grade for the course, will be mailed to you and to your school.
